HVAC distributor Watsco Inc. (NYSE:WSO), Miami, FL, reported third-quarter sales of $1.2 billion, down 1 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 3.2 percent to $65 million.
HVAC equipment sales were flat in the quarter, while other HVAC products and commercial refrigeration equipment each dropped 4 percent.
For the first nine months, sales were $3.4 billion, up 2.1 percent over the same period a year ago. Profit grew 7.6 percent to $165 million.
