New York City-based Pepper — an AI-powered food distributor revenue platform — has acquired fellow SaaS provider Kimelo. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Pepper said the acquisition of Kimelo will enhance its tools for distributors by simplifying ordering, improving buying insights and supporting revenue growth. The combined company aims to offer a single platform for managing customer relationships, optimizing sales and supporting business expansion.

The firm added that, together, Pepper and Kimelo aim to strengthen independent distributors’ ability to compete by improving efficiency and long-term outcomes.
“I’m thrilled for Kimelo to join forces with Pepper,” Kimelo CEO Kim Spalding said in an Aug. 25 news release. “We share a goal to help distributors and the food industry grow profitably with the best of AI and eCommerce technology.”
Kimelo’s customers will join Pepper’s broader network of distributors and gain access to its integrations and customizable tools.
