Building materials distributor SRS Distribution — a subsidiary of The Home Depot — acquired Rising Star Wholesale. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Des Moines, IA, Rising Star distributes a range of exterior building products, including siding, windows, doors, manufactured stone veneers and natural stone products. Established in 2001, the company employs a team of approximately 17 people and is owned and operated by Bob Myers.

“The company’s siding, window and door expertise will be an outstanding complement to our existing roofing-focused operation in the market,” SRS President and CEO Dan Tinker said in a Feb. 26 news release. “We look forward to building upon Rising Star’s reputation for exceptional service and are truly excited by the prospect of what we can accomplish together.”
Corey Myers, the son of Bob Myers, and Amber Twohig, a long-time employee of Rising Start, will lead the company moving forward.
