Electrical supplies distributor Sonepar shared on Dec. 18 that it has appointed new leaders for its West and East regions, effective Jan. 1.

Taking the West region is Scott Jansen, who has served as President of Sonepaar subsidiary QED since 2021. The company notes that Jansen was instrumental in the sale of QED to Sonepar in 2015 and the integration of Independent Electric Supply’s Arizona locations into QED in 2023. Most recently, he spearheaded the expansion of QED’s logistics network with central distribution leaders near Denver and Phoenix.
“Scott brings a wealth of experience and a proven ability to navigate complexity,” said Rob Taylor, President of Sonepar Americas. “He executes strategic plans effectively and knows how to best support our operating companies so they can grow profitably. I’m confident the West Region will have a smooth transition under his leadership.”
Jansen will continue to lead QED while the organization finds his successor.
Jansen’s predecessor Dana Mouritzen will assume leadership of the East region while continuing his concurrent role as COO for Sonepar USA. Mouritzen has led the company’s West region since 2021 and will succeed former East region leader Alan Rosenfeld, who is retiring at the end of 2025.
