Plumbing, HVACR, PVF and industrial supplies distributor F.W. Webb has rolled out a new mobile app designed to help contractors and other trade professionals order faster and manage jobs more efficiently from the field.
The Bedford, MA-based distributor said the app is intended to be an extension of its existing customer experience — not a separate channel — as more customers run core parts of their business from mobile devices.
The app enables users to browse and purchase products directly from their phones, with access to real-time inventory and customer-specific pricing. It also includes order tracking functionality so users can monitor delivery status or confirm pickup readiness.
Search is a key feature, with multiple input methods including text, voice, image and barcode scanning, along with purchase history. Users can also access detailed product information such as spec sheets, installation guides and in-branch aisle and bin locations.
Beyond transactional capabilities, the app connects customers to local branch resources — including store hours, directions, contacts and training events — reinforcing Webb’s emphasis on blending digital and physical experiences.
During beta testing, customers highlighted the ability to switch between branch locations and view inventory availability by store as particularly valuable.
The app is currently available for iPhone users with an existing F.W. Webb online account, with Android availability expected later this year.
The launch comes as F.W. Webb approaches its 160th anniversary in 2026 and continues to invest in digital tools alongside in-branch enhancements, signaling a broader push to modernize how customers interact with the distributor across channels.
