Fasteners and industrial supplies distributor Hillman Solutions announced April 6 that it acquired Campbell Chain & Fittings — a manufacturer and distributor of industrial chain and related products — from Apex Tool Group.
York, PA-based Campbell serves customers in industrial, construction, marine and energy markets across North America. As a former brand of hand and power tools maker Apex, the company has a forging facility in Sumter, SC. The company was founded in 1919.

The addition represents an MRO supplies boost for Hillman, which saw 2025 sales increase 5.4% annually to a company record $1.55 billion and adjusted gross margin grow 60 basis points to 48.7%. Campbell adds grade 70, 80 and 100 chain to Hillman’s product portfolio, and the company noted that MRO is a key focus area for its future growth.
“With over 105 years in the business, Campbell is a well-respected manufacturer and supplier of chain and related products with a diverse set of customers that will make a great addition to Hillman,” Hillman President and CEO Jon Michael Adinolfi said in a news release. “Going forward, we will continue to pursue attractive acquisition opportunities as a key part of our growth strategy.”
Campbell’s end markets served include agriculture, forestry, government, heavy/light duty equipment, industrial, marine, material handling and hardware stores. Along with welded and weldless chain, its product offerings include forged fittings, overhead lifting and lifting clamp products.
Cincinnati-based Hillman expects Campbell to contribute $20 million in fiscal 2026 sales.
“The acquisition of Campbell expands our presence in the industrial MRO channel, considering commercial and industrial customers make up the majority of Campbell’s business,” added Chris Martin, Hillman’s Executive Vice President of Commercial & Industrial. “Further, this deal complements our 2024 acquisition of Koch Industries, which marked Hillman’s entrance into the chain category.”
Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
