ABC Supply Acquires Koch Building Products in Sandusky

Koch has served contractors along Ohio’s Lake Erie shoreline for more than 70 years. It marks ABC's second deal announced in June.

ABC Supply Co. has acquired the assets of Koch Building Products, a long-standing building products distributor in Sandusky, OH.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1952, Koch Building Products has served contractors and builders in northern Ohio for more than 70 years as a division of Koch Aluminum. The company operates from 1615 E. Perkins Ave. in Sandusky and offers products that include windows and doors, siding, patio covers and enclosures, awnings and railings.

Beloit, WI-based ABC Supply — No. 1 on MDM’s 2026 Top Distributors List for Building Materials/Construction Supplies — said the deal expands its presence along Ohio’s Lake Erie shoreline and improves service to contractors and builders in the region.

“We’re excited to bring the Koch Building Products team into ABC Supply,” ABC Supply Northeast Region Vice President Tom Kuchan said in a June 22 news release. “They know the Sandusky market well and have built strong, lasting relationships with their contractors. We’re looking forward to continuing that work together.”

The Sandusky location will continue operations as ABC Supply. The company said all current Koch Building Products associates will remain with the business to support a smooth transition and continued customer service. Jill Hartley, who leads Koch Building Products and is the daughter of owner Randy Koch, will remain with the business during the transition period.

The acquisition is ABC Supply’s second announced deal in June. Earlier this month, ABC Supply Interiors acquired Wallboard Inc., expanding that unit’s Milwaukee-area presence and adding its eighth Wisconsin location.

The deal also follows ABC Supply’s late-February rebrand of its family of companies, in which L&W Supply became ABC Supply Interiors and Town & Country Industries became ABC Supply Outdoor Solutions. ABC Supply said the alignment was designed to improve clarity for customers, vendors and partners while reinforcing continuity across its business units.

With 2025 revenue of $20.2 billion, ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing, select exterior and interior building products and outdoor solutions in North America. The company has more than 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
