Accurate Meter & Supply — a Katy, TX-based distributor and service provider of water, sewer and drainage products, announced July 6 that The Stiles Company has joined the company.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1983 and based in Norwood, MA, Stiles is a distributor and service provider of water meters and waterworks products for municipal utilities in the New England market. The company’s portfolio includes mechanical and electronic water meters for residential, commercial and industrial applications, along with waterworks products such as clamps, valves, fittings and couplings. Stiles also provides large meter field testing services and technical support.

Ian and Katie Kasowitz, who acquired Stiles from its original founding family in 2020, will continue operating the business with its existing team as part of Accurate Meter & Supply.

“Stiles has built an incredible reputation over the last 40 years, and Ian and Katie have continued that legacy while positioning the company for its next phase of growth,” Accurate Meter & Supply President Caleb Burson said in a news release. “Together, we’re expanding our reach while continuing to deliver the products, technical expertise, and service our customers expect.”

Stiles said the partnership will support expanded product and service offerings, additional sales resources and continued service to existing customers.

Accurate Meter & Supply was founded in 1988 and serves municipal, residential and commercial infrastructure markets. The company distributes meter systems, pipes, valves and fittings, fire protection equipment, hydrants, manholes, meter boxes and backflow devices. It also provides technical services including meter services, precast vaults, backflow prevention, leak detection and flow testing.

Accurate said Stiles’ addition expands its platform into New England while adding a company with more than 40 years of waterworks and municipal utility experience.
