Evergreen Supply Network to Dissolve. Here’s What to Know

Evergreen Supply Network — a longtime cooperative serving independent distributors across the construction and industrial supplies market — announced May 26 that it plans to dissolve in a move likely to shuffle competitive dynamics among adjacent buying groups and cooperatives serving the sector.

The co-op’s dissolution announcement said the disbandment decision was made after careful review, and that the group will move forward with an orderly wind-down process that includes the completion of remaining business matters and handling of organizational obligations and assets, with its board of directors and leadership team committed to supporting members and partners through the transition.

Farmers Branch, TX-based Evergreen began 2026 with 30 members representing more than 280 locations nationwide. The group’s 2026 first quarter newsletter — published March 27 — noted that 2025 was Evergreen’s second-best purchasing year in its history, with member sales up 13% annually. The co-op branded itself as the largest independent distribution group within the construction supply channel, having rebranded from Evergreen Marketing Group in 2023.

Evergreen’s most recent expansion was the November 2025 member addition of Dallas-based Big D Tool Center, which was acquired by member NEFCO in October. The group had a booth at World of Concrete in January of this year.

But Evergreen cancelled its annual Partnership Conference — set for April 19-22 in Dallas — earlier this year. At the time, a note from the group said the cancellation marked a transition, not an ending as Evergreen was “building toward a more scalable platform that allows us to expand our training and educational programs and strengthen the value we deliver to both members and suppliers well into the future.”

“The decision to dissolve was made thoughtfully and with appreciation for Evergreen’s long legacy and the many people and companies who helped shape it,” Evergreen CEO Jen Miller said in a news release. “We are incredibly proud of Evergreen’s legacy and grateful for the dedication of our members, suppliers, employees, and partners over the years,” said Evergreen CEO, Jen Miller. “While this chapter is coming to a close, the relationships, knowledge, and impact created through Evergreen will continue across the industry.”

Miller took over Evergreen’s leadership in mid-2024 as Executive Director, succeeding Bill Ward.

Evergreen’s Board of Directors is led by Chairman Aaron Knief, President of Lincoln Contractors Supply, and its Supplier Advisory Council is led by Chairman Paul Richardson, Senior Vice President of IC Field Sales at Milwaukee Tool.

“Evergreen extends its sincere appreciation to all who have contributed to its success and legacy,” the group said May 26.

Analysis: What the Dissolution Means for Evergreen Members, Other Groups

Memberships in buying groups and cooperatives have long been a way for independent distributors to leverage collective buying power to better compete against national distributors, so Evergreen’s 30 members will look to find those resources elsewhere. And it appears most of them already have.

On May 13, Sphere One — a co-op of tool, fastener and concrete accessory distributors — announced a major expansion with 18 new members joining the Lake Forest, CA-based group. Those members are:

  • Acme Tools
  • American Fasteners Corporation
  • Beerman Precision
  • Construction Tool Service
  • Darragh Company
  • Industrial Tools and Supply
  • McCally Tool & Supply Co.
  • McQuade & Bannigan
  • Mills Supply
  • NEFCO
  • Pro Tool & Supply
  • Salisbury Supply Co.
  • Slims Power Tools
  • Straightline Contractor & Industrial Supply
  • Team Tools
  • United Supply and Sales Co.
  • United Tool & Fastener
  • Whitton Supply Co.

All of those distributors are or recently were Evergreen members. Of them, Acme Tools, American Fasteners, Beerman Precision and Darragh Company had executives on Evergreen’s board of directors.

For the remaining members, other top options for cooperative/buying group membership in the construction/industrial supply sector include NetPlus Alliance and AD. Evergreen is also a member of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA).
