Georgia Foley — set to step down from her longtime role as CEO of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) — is taking an executive role at a fellow construction trade group.
The Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association (CSDA) announced Dec. 17 that it has appointed Foley as its new Executive Director, effective Jan. 1.
Foley — the daughter of STAFDA’s first CEO, Morrie Halverson — has been STAFDA’s CEO since 2000 and shared on Nov. 21 that she would be stepping down as the group hands off back office responsibilities to association management company Frontline Co.
Founded in 1972, the CSDA represents contractors, manufacturers and industry professionals in the concrete cutting, sawing and drilling industry. The group provides education, innovation and advocacy of best practices.
“I’m honored to join CSDA and continue supporting the contractors and professionals who keep our industry innovative and safe,” said Foley. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and supporting CSDA members and their employees.”
As Executive Director, Foley will oversee CSDA’s strategic initiatives, member programs and industry partnerships, advancing the association’s mission to provide leadership, advocacy, and training for professionals in the concrete cutting, sawing, and drilling industry.
“Georgia’s proven record of strategic vision, organizational growth and industry collaboration makes her an exceptional fit to guide CSDA into its next chapter,” said Mark DeSchepper, CSDA President. “We’re thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
