Enterprise software provider Epicor announced Aug. 11 that President Vaibhav Vohra will become CEO effective Oct. 1 as part of a planned succession process.
Vohra will succeed Steve Murphy, who will step down as CEO at the close of Epicor’s fiscal year on Sept. 30 and remain on the company’s board of directors. Epicor said the transition follows a succession process led by its board that began when Vohra was appointed president in October 2024.

Under Murphy, Epicor accelerated its shift to a cloud-first business, expanded through acquisitions and surpassed $1 billion in annual recurring revenue, according to the company.
The CEO succession comes about two months after another major addition to Epicor’s executive team. On June 9, the company named Rachel Barger Chief Revenue Officer, putting her in charge of strategy and execution across its global sales and recurring revenue teams.
Barger joined Epicor with more than 20 years of technology leadership experience, including senior roles at UKG, Cisco and SAP. Epicor said her priorities include strengthening customer relationships, accelerating recurring revenue growth and expanding its partner ecosystem.
