To address a shift to digital self-service options within distribution, Danfoss created a new online configuration and quoting tool for its Danfoss Power Solutions distributor network.

The Hose Assembly Pro tool, powered by Intelli.Build, allows Danfoss customers to specify compatible hose assemblies around the clock and enables distribution teams to generate accurate quotes online. The solution is designed to reduce errors within manual quoting and speed up sales cycles.

Hose Assembly Pro can be embedded into a distributor’s existing website or launched as a branded, hosted subdomain so that distributors manage their own product catalog and in-stock availability. The platform’s built-in analytics also provide insights into usage and demand trends.

“We are proud to collaborate with Danfoss to help their channel partners adapt to the digital age,” Dan Banks, Managing Partner of Intelli.Build, said in a Dec. 17 news release. “Our platform provides a buyer-safe online experience, giving customers a clear way to configure, price and order with confidence.”

While the initial rollout focuses on hose and fittings, the underlying Intelli.Build technology is adaptable to any business that sells configurable products with complex compatibility rules.

Hose Assembly Pro is available to eligible DanFoss distributors by request. Onboarding support, including training and co-branded launch materials, will be provided.

Danfoss manufacturers and engineers products used across industries including refrigeration, HVAC, power conversion, motor control, industrial machinery, automotive, marine and both on- and off-highway equipment. Danfoss also supplies solutions for renewable energy sources like wind and solar, Power-to-X systems, heat recovery and district energy.

Earlier this year, Danfoss acquired Italian manufacturer Palladio Compressors in a move to expand its product to cover large-scale process cooling, heating and refrigeration.
