Medical supplies startup distributor Orise Distribution announced its expansion in St. Louis, with an investment of $6.2 million.
The company is adding over 5,000 square feet to its existing facility and 40 new jobs.
Orise supplies products to hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities and government agencies. The company plans to build a nationwide network for distribution, warehousing, fulfillment and sourcing. Company officials said it will launch five new medical textile lines and begin manufacturing this year. Products include PPE, diagnostic tools, wound care items and durable medical equipment.

As a vertically integrated operation, the company manages everything from raw materials to distribution. Orise said it is is developing an AI-powered medical supply chain and plans to enter pharmaceutical distribution by 2026.
“This expansion project is bringing together the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the St. Louis Development Corporation, Ameren, St. Louis community colleges and local political leaders.” Orise Distribution CEO Quentin Womack said in an Aug. 6 news release. “This collaboration marks a major step forward in strengthening the regional healthcare supply chain while driving new job creation and economic growth in St. Louis city.”
The expansion is supported by the Missouri Works program, which offers tax credits or withholdings to encourage job creation and business growth.
