San Jose, CA-based industrial distributor and Graybar subsidiary Valin Corp. boosts its motion control and automation product portfolio with the acquisition of Dallas, TX-based Burns Controls Company.
Established in 1971, Burns Controls provides automation technology and controls and is recognized as a “leading source” for electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic products to many companies worldwide, company officials said in a July 1 news release.
The deal closed June 30.
“This acquisition is transformative for our team,” Burns Controls President Pat Burns Jr. said. “With Valin’s enhanced resources and support, we can boost our ability to provide innovative solutions to our customers and enhance our legacy of providing unmatched service.”

Burns said the company is known for its “top-level expertise and exemplary support.”
“Their strong industry reputation and highly skilled technical team make them a great fit,” Valin President Anne Vranicic said.
Graybar acquired Valin in the spring of 2023.
