London-based industrial MRO parts distributor Rubix launched its “Uptime Index”, a new benchmark designed to assess the overall health and performance of the European manufacturing sector.
Rubix said the Uptime Index was created in response to ongoing discussions with customers across Europe, who voiced an increasing need for clearer insight into the factors impacting factory uptime and long-term performance. The distributor added that gaining a better understanding of these challenges is important to enhancing resilience, increasing productivity and remaining competitive in an evolving industrial environment.

The Uptime Index also represents the launch of an ongoing effort from Rubix to track and analyze changes in performance, confidence and capabilities within the European manufacturing sector.
“Within any manufacturing business – the factory is the heart and uptime is its oxygen – so the Uptime Index is the industry’s health check,” Rubix Group VP of Key Accounts David Cullern said in a June 5 news release. “The success of the European manufacturing industry is a priority we share with both customers and suppliers, and the Uptime Index provides a collective focus on what matters most, keeping European industry running reliably and resiliently.”
