AI-powered distributor software provider WizCommerce launched a new customer relationship management offering Aug. 31 that the company describes as an “AI-first CRM” built specifically for wholesalers and distributors.
Called WizCRM, the software is integrated directly into WizCommerce’s broader sales platform and is designed to connect functions that distributors often manage across separate CRM, quoting, ordering, ecommerce and ERP systems.
The platform enables sales teams to manage accounts and contacts, track opportunities, log customer meetings and visits, assign tasks and create quotes. Those quotes can then be converted into ERP-synced orders without leaving the CRM.
Customer records can also incorporate activity from a distributor’s connected B2B ecommerce storefront, including customer sign-ins, searches, product views, shopping-cart activity and orders.
WizCommerce said the offering is intended to better reflect the recurring and account-specific nature of wholesale sales, where customers may place frequent orders, purchase for multiple locations, interact with multiple sales representatives and operate under customer-specific pricing.
“Wholesale is a relationship business, but the relationship and the transaction have been separated by software for too long,” WizCommerce CEO and Co-Founder Div Makkar said. “We built WizCRM so the record gets richer as the rep sells.”
WizCRM also incorporates WizPilot — the company’s AI sales assistant. Users can ask the tool to prepare information ahead of customer meetings, create follow-up tasks, identify customers that may be due to reorder and flag open quotes that are becoming stale. Sales managers can also query the system about recent team activity. WizPilot draws from customer, order, quote and sales activity housed within WizCommerce.
The CRM joins WizCommerce’s existing WizOrder order-taking software, WizShop B2B ecommerce offering, WizPay payments product and WizStudio product-content solution. WizCommerce said it works with more than 500 wholesale and distribution brands in the U.S.
