Founded in 1931, Truckee Tahoe Lumber is a family-owned distributor of lumber, building materials, doors and hardware. With headquarters in Reno, NV, the company operates a design center in Truckee, CA; a lumberyard and door shop in Reno/Sparks; a lumber and production yard in McCarran, NV; and a retail store and lumberyard in Tahoe City, CA.
“Local leadership will remain in place, ensuring continuity and a seamless transition,” a Builders FirstSource spokeswoman said in an April 7 news release.

This is Builder FirstSource’s second deal of 2025, following its previous acquisition of Pennsylvania-based O.C. Cluss Lumber & Building Supplies on Feb. 4.
The company was No. 1 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for Building Materials/Construction.
