Gypsum Management & Supply has further boosted its drywall market presence in the U.S. Mountain West with the acquisition of Frontier Drywall Supply.
With three locations in Denver, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs, Frontier provides drywall, ceiling tile, steel, insulation, tools and accessories to eastern Colorado. It was founded in 2014 and is operated by three managing partners.
Frontier and its team will continue to operate under its existing branding as part of Pioneer Materials West in GMS’ Northwest unit. Andy Frank and Jay Haddick will continue to lead the business going forward.
GMS said the addition will further support its presence and growth strategy throughout Colorado and provide its first location in the Colorado Springs market.
It marks continued expansion for GMS, which was acquired by The Home Depot in September 2025 for $5.5 billion via its SRS Distribution subsidiary.
“Bringing Frontier into the GMS family of brands demonstrates continuation of the growth plan of The Home Depot and SRS as we execute our expansion strategy by adding our core wallboard and steel product offerings in Colorado’s growing market, which will provide even greater value and level of service to our customers,” said John Turner, President and CEO of GMS.
GMS has a network of more than 320 distribution centers and operates nearly 100 tool sales, rental and service centers.
