QXO further expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Michael DeWitt as Chief Procurement Officer, following recent hires for Chief Information, Chief Technology and Chief AI Officers, each from prominent retailers.
DeWitt will oversee QXO’s procurement operations as the company expands within the $800 billion building products distribution sector.
He joins QXO after eight years as vice president of international spend management at Walmart International, where he managed $10 billion in purchasing across 18 countries. He has nearly 30 years of experience in procurement across various industries and regions.

At Walmart, DeWitt led the implementation of new procurement technologies, including autonomous negotiation and AI-driven sourcing tools. QXO said these efforts contributed to a significant increase in annual savings and supported digital initiatives across global operations.
Earlier in his career, DeWitt served as chief procurement officer at Highmark Health, overseeing $8 billion in spending across five business units. He also held senior sourcing roles at Bayer, MEDRAD, Hewlett Packard and other multinational firms.
