Building materials distributor QXO appointed Val Liborski to the position of Chief Technology Officer, effective April 21.

Liborski most recently held the role of Chief Technology Officer at Yahoo, following the same role at HelloFresh. He spent the previous 10+ years at Amazon, leading engineering and product management at Amazon Web Services before guiding the technology behind Amazon’s consumer business expansion across Europe as the company’s EU Vice President of Technology.

Earlier in his career, Liborski held senior engineering roles at Microsoft, where he built large-scale data systems for Bing and developed AI-driven advertising platforms.
“Val has built his career at high-performance companies where execution is crucial to market leadership,” QXO Chairman and CEO Brad Jacobs said in an April 14 news release. “His experience leading world-class teams at some of the most innovative companies in the world gives QXO a major competitive advantage.”
