Building materials distributor QXO appointed Eric Nelson as Chief Information Officer, effective July 14.
Nelson joins QXO from The Kraft Heinz Company, where he spent ten years in senior technology roles. In this position, he led global IT strategy across corporate functions including supply chain, R&D and finance, and served as CIO of Kraft Heinz North America and global head of analytics. His work included managing front- and back-office operations, overseeing data and machine learning initiatives, scaling digital product development, leading cloud migrations and supporting the technology integration and separation for five acquisitions and spin-offs.

Before that, Nelson held technology and operations roles at Kraft and Kraft Foods Group, overseeing areas including planning, transportation, manufacturing, distribution and procurement. Earlier, he worked on continuous improvement initiatives at Cadbury.
“Eric brings a rare blend of technical acumen and business insight to QXO,” QXO Chairman and CEO Brad Jacobs said in a July 10 news release. “His proven track record of delivering significant impact across logistics, procurement, manufacturing and sales aligns perfectly with the innovation already underway at QXO.”
