Minnesota-based electrical and industrial supplies distributor DSG opened a new distribution center in its founding city of Fargo, ND.

On May 7, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, followed by a tour of the warehouse with employee owners, customers, manufacturing partners and community stakeholders.

According to DSG, its growth has enabled the local team of employee-owners to quickly outgrow the company’s original location and expand into plumbing and HVAC products.

DSG was formed in 1898 in Fargo as Fargo Plumbing before quickly pivoting to electrical distribution as the region’s electrical infrastructure was established. The company is headquartered in Plymouth, MN — about 12 miles west of downtown Minneapolis. DSG was known as Dakota Supply Group for the vast majority of its history before rebranding in 2024.
