Salt Lake City, UT-based Codale Electric Supply — a Sonepar Company — announced its expansion 2025 plan, which includes the addition of an automated central distribution center (CDC) and three new branch locations in the West.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company plans to open a new 150,000-square-foot CDC in Las Vegas, NV. Codale said the facility will feature an automated warehouse with optimized picking processes to ensure fast and accurate order fulfillment for its customers. In 2023, Codale acquired Las Vegas-based NEDCO, which the company said strengthened its position in the Nevada market. Subsequently, NEDCO rebranded as Codale.

The company will also launch a Pro Logistics Center in Las Vegas, offering value-added staging and storage services. In addition, it will open a new branch in Saratoga Springs, UT, while the existing Midvale, UT branch will be relocated to Draper, UT. The company is further strengthening its presence in Idaho with the opening of a new branch in Idaho Falls.

Founded in 1975 by Dale and Jay Holt, the electrical distributor celebrates its 50th anniversary through continued expansion, having grown to employ over 530 associates and operate 18 branches across Utah, Wyoming, Nevada and Idaho.

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate 50 years of serving our communities,” Codale President Todd Saunders said in a Feb. 19 news release. “Our success is a credit to the hard work of our associates, loyalty of our customers, and strong support of our parent company, Sonepar. As we look to the future, we remain committed to driving innovation and growth while maintaining the values that have defined our success.”

In recent news, Sonepar announced on Feb. 14 that it was uniting Standard Electric and Madison Electric to streamline operations in Michigan. Prior to this, on Feb. 6 the company said that Echo Electric, Springfield Electric, Richards Electric, Pepco and Holt will go to market under the Echo brand, combining four of its Midwest subsidiaries into a single platform.
