Fluid power distributor Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE) acquired La Porte, Texas-based MJ Systems. Financial terms were not disclosed.
MJ Systems is a distributor of chemical injection pump systems and related equipment and aftermarket parts. The company primarily serves petrochemical and oil & gas customers in Texas, Louisiana and southern Mississippi. Based in Texas, the company has a second location in Metairie, LA.
“The company provides MCE with an expanded set of highly engineered products and technical expertise that adds scale to our growing Gulf Coast presence,” MCE’s Chairman & CEO Charles Hale said in a Aug. 16 news release.
Matt Schroeder founded the MJS in 2007 and will continue to lead the business going forward.
“MCE brings resources that align well with our business and will help support our growth initiatives,” Schroeder said.
The deal marks the fourth acquisition for MCE in 2026. In August, the company added a pump distributor in Wisconsin.
