Midland Industries Acquires Cerro Brass in St. Louis

Cerro Brass is a distributor of brass components, serving the residential, commercial and industrial markets.

Kansas City, MO-based PVF redistributor and manufacturer Midland Industries — a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital — acquired Cerro Brass from Cerro Flow Products.

Based in St. Louis, MO, Cerro Brass is a distributor of brass components, including fittings, adapters and needle valves, serving residential, commercial and industrial markets.

Midland Industries is a distributor and manufacturer of fittings, valves, hoses, clamps and related products for industrial, plumbing, HVAC, utility and manufacturing sectors. Founded in 1919, it offers around 37,000 products through 10 facilities across the U.S. and Canada.

Midland said the acquisition of Cerro Brass expands the company’s brass offerings and strengthens its ability to serve core markets. It added that Cerro Brass will continue operations without disruption, while customers gain access to Midland’s broader product portfolio.

“This transaction supports our strategic vision of expanding our brass product capabilities and reinforces our commitment to being a trusted industrial supply partner nationwide,” Midland CEO Bryan Wight said in a July 31 news release.
