Industrial and specialty cleaning manufacturer and distributor Meyer Lab has acquired AmChem Industrial, an Atlanta-based distributor of industrial and specialty cleaning chemicals.
Meyer Lab offers a broad portfolio of cleaning chemical solutions for customers across markets requiring clean environments to manage production and uptime, including food processing, concrete and asphalt, general industrial and fleet wash. Kansas City, MO-based Meyer has built a national footprint and AmChem helps to bolster its presence in the Southeast and Texas.
“AmChem Industrial has built an impressive customer base across the Southeast and Texas that strongly complements Meyer Lab’s strategic growth objectives,” said Mike Miller, President of Meyer Lab. “This acquisition allows us to deepen key customer relationships and better serve our customers throughout the region.”
According to a Jan. 7 news release, integration is already underway, with AmChem’s former owners and employees working closely with Meyer Lab to ensure a seamless transition for customers, suppliers and partners. AmChem’s operations will be fully integrated into Meyer Lab.
“This is an exciting new chapter for AmChem and our customers,” said Justin Montgomery, former President of AmChem Industrial. “Meyer Lab is an industry leader in the industrial cleaning market, and I am confident our customers will benefit from Meyer Lab’s commitment to quality products and unmatched service. The AmChem team is fully committed to ensuring a smooth transition and supporting Meyer Lab as we combine our businesses.”
Meyer Lab stated in the release it will actively pursue acquisitions that align with its strategy to become the leading North American provider of cleaning chemical solutions.
