Coinciding with its 10th anniversary, B2B products marketplace Amazon Business shared fresh stats on Aug. 20 about its current stature.
The figures didn’t include an update on total annual sales or gross merchandise volume, but rather focused on the breadth of customers and cost savings provided.
MDM Podcast: Amazon Business is Just Getting Started (November 2023)
An Amazon Business blog post was headlined by the stat that it now serves over 8 million organizations globally — excluding emerging markets — ranging from small businesses to some of the world’s largest corporations.
The blog didn’t specify the date for which its stats are updated through, but given that Amazon reported its 2Q25 financial results on July 31, it’s reasonable to assume the stats are updated as of June 30.
Let’s walk through the other key stats AB provided in the update:
- Its customer base now includes 97 of the Fortune 100, 66 of the FTSE 100 and 38 DAX-40 corporations
- AB repeated the stat shared in a 2023 shareholder letter that the platform generates over $35 billion in annualized gross sales — representing the total volume of revenue flowing through the marketplace
- AB’s product selection is now 25% larger than it was a year ago
- Product selection from small business sellers grew nearly 80% year-over-year, now exceeding 160 million small-seller items globally
- In the first half of 2025, AB customers in the U.S. saved more than $150 million through quantity discounts
- Globally, small business customers saved over $70 million, of which more than $25 million stemmed from U.S. small businessesÂ
- Pallet delivery is now accessible to over 85% of U.S. business customers
- For Business Prime Members, nearly 50% of global and over 70% of U.S. orders now arrive same-day or next-day
- In 2024, Business Prime members saved over $750 million in shipping fees globally
- Amazon Business is active in 11 countries
