Houston-based pumping solutions and MRO supplies distributor DXP Enterprises paired accelerated second-quarter growth with its fifth announced acquisition of 2026, expanding its DXP Water platform into Canada.
DXP reported Aug. 5 that 2Q sales increased 15.6% year-over-year to $576.5 million, accelerating from 9.5% growth in 1Q. Sales also increased 10.5% sequentially, while organic sales grew 11.1% year-over-year and acquisitions contributed $49.8 million.
Net income increased 21.6% to $28.7 million. Adjusted EBITDA rose 22.8% to $70.4 million, while adjusted EBITDA margin expanded 70 basis points to 12.2%. Operating cash flow increased to $32.4 million from $18.6 million a year earlier, while free cash flow climbed to $29.8 million from $8.3 million.
“Our results reflect continued execution of our growth strategy, solid organic performance, contribution from recent acquisitions, and sustained strength in EBITDA margins,” DXP Chairman and CEO David Little said.

Canada Acquisition
A day earlier, DXP announced its acquisition of Mequipco Ltd. — a Calgary, Alberta-based manufacturer representative for mechanical equipment used in municipal and industrial water and wastewater systems. Founded in 1974, Mequipco operates three locations serving Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Mequipco generated approximately CAD $9.9 million in sales and CAD $2.4 million in pro forma adjusted EBITDA for the 12 months ended June 30. DXP funded the deal with cash from its balance sheet and DXP common stock. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“Mequipco provides DXP Water with a beachhead in Canada that we can build and grow from as we scale DXP Water in Canada and the U.S.,” Little said.
The transaction marks DXP’s fifth announced acquisition of 2026. The company started the year by acquiring PREMIERflow and Mid Atlantic Storage Systems, followed with Ambiente H2O in February and added Minnesota-based General Repair Service in June.
DXP ranked No. 16 for Industrial Supplies, No. 13 for Industrial MRO, No. 8 for Power Transmission/Bearings and No. 4 for Fluid Power on MDM’s 2026 Top Distributors Lists.
