Fargo, ND-based electrical supplies distributor Border States has named Richelle Bishoff as VP Industrial Solutions. She succeeds Shane Kerska in the role ahead of Kerska’s planned retirement on March 31.
“Richelle has consistently demonstrated the kind of leadership that drives results, strengthens partnerships and elevates teams,” Border States’ SVP of Industrial Core Market Steve Freiburger said in a Jan. 26 news release. “She has a passion for defining and implementing strategy to address and improve customer experience.”
Bishoff has been an employee-owner at Border States for more than 15 years, holding multiple supply chain roles across inventory, sourcing and costing functions, with leadership and experience in both operational and customer-facing capacities. Most recently, she served as VP Procurement and currently serves as Deputy Chair for the organization’s Leadership Council. Bishoff has also been a recipient of tED Magazine’s 30 Under 35 Award.
In her new role, Bishoff will lead the development and execution of Border States’ industrial strategy, driving growth in the segment through innovative services and solutions for industrial customers.
“I’m so excited to partner with our talented employee-owners in this new capacity as we continue to deliver a seamless experience for our customers,” Bishoff said. “Border States is a fantastic organization, and while I feel fortunate to have been a part of it over the last 15 years, I’m even more excited about what our future holds.”
Border States was No. 7 on MDM’s 2025 Top Distributors List for Electrical/Data/Security. Supplying products and services to construction, industrial and utility customers, the company had more than 3,500 employee-owners across 31 states.
