Cooperative purchasing organization OMNIA Partners announced July 7 that 10 new suppliers have joined its OPUS eCommerce procurement marketplace, expanding the platform’s online purchasing catalog to more than 8 million SKUs.
The Franklin, Tennessee-based organization said the new suppliers include major industrial distributors Graybar and BradyPlus, along with SHI, Fisher Scientific, Insight Public Sector, School Specialty, Johnson-Lancaster & Associates, Vari, Mediatechnologies and E-Z-GO/Cushman.
OMNIA Partners said the supplier additions broaden OPUS’ product availability across IT solutions, scientific and laboratory products, foodservice, facility maintenance, education, workplace furnishings, electrical infrastructure and fleet management.
OPUS is OMNIA Partners’ free member portal and eCommerce procurement platform for government agencies, school systems, higher education institutions and nonprofits. The platform allows members to search OMNIA Partners’ supplier network and purchase products backed by publicly solicited and competitively bid cooperative contracts.
The company said nearly 40,000 public sector procurement professionals are using OPUS to purchase from more than 650 suppliers in the OMNIA Partners network. The portal lets buyers purchase products from multiple suppliers through one online shopping cart while maintaining access to cooperative contract pricing and terms.
“Our continued investment in technology is centered on one goal: making it easier for public agencies and nonprofits to access the contracts, suppliers, and resources they need to serve their communities,” OMNIA Partners President and CEO Todd Abner said in the announcement.
The latest OPUS release also added platform features including an improved search experience, streamlined contract access, a centralized supplier W9 library, integrated chat support, shareable product lists and administrative approval tools.
Graybar and BradyPlus join a marketplace that already includes several MDM Top Distributors participants, including Grainger, MSC Industrial Supply, Medline, Network Distribution, ODP Business Solutions, Global Industrial and Lawson Products.
