St. Louis-based industrial manufacturing and distribution conglomerate Harbour Group has acquired American Packing & Gasket Holdings (APG) — a master distributor of sealing and fluid conveyance products.

APG has joined Harbour Group company SHF Inc. and will operate alongside the platform’s other flow component businesses: Stainless Hose Fittings, Texcel and OmegaOne. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in southeast Texas in 1943, APG operates from locations in Houston and Knoxville, TN. Its product portfolio includes O-rings, gaskets and industrial couplings, supported by an inventory of more than 40,000 active SKUs and a diversified network of original equipment manufacturer suppliers.

APG also provides value-added services such as O-ring bagging, kitting and custom gasket fabrication across a range of end markets. Its broader catalog includes seals, pump packing, industrial glass, plastics and safety products.

Harbour Group Chairman and CEO Jeff Fox said APG’s products and customer base complement the platform’s existing flow component businesses, highlighting the company’s EVER-TITE cam and groove coupling brand.

“The EVER-TITE brand was the first cam and groove coupling ever developed and remains an industry leader,” Fox said. “It marries perfectly with Texcel’s broad hose line.”

Jake Walker, CEO of SHF, Texcel and OmegaOne, said adding APG expands the platform’s product breadth, technical expertise and customer support capabilities.

SHF, Texcel and OmegaOne operate as a unified Houston-based platform supplying stainless steel adapters, fluid power and instrumentation fittings, braid bands and valves. The companies serve customers in marine, industrial, chemical and oil and gas markets.

Harbour Group acquired Texcel, a distributor of industrial hose and hydraulic products, in December 2023.

Founded in 1976, Harbour Group is a privately owned, operations-focused company that invests in manufacturing and distribution businesses. The APG deal represents its 237th acquisition across 51 industries.
