Packer Fastener has continued its rapid geographic expansion with the opening of a new distribution center in Salt Lake City, UT — by far the Green Bay, WI-based company’s farthest move west to date.
The 55,000-square-foot facility is located at 781 N. 6715 W., Building 8, Suite 803. Packer said the location will position inventory and support services closer to customers while strengthening the regional supply chain for major manufacturing and construction projects.
The fasteners and industrial supplies distributor is targeting customers working in rapidly growing sectors that include renewable energy, data centers and power generation. The added local inventory is intended to reduce lead times, accelerate deliveries and improve supply reliability for contractors, manufacturers and fabricators.

“We’re following our customers in renewable energy, data centers and power generation, and going exactly where they need us most, and we’re not slowing down,” Packer Fastener CEO Terry Albrecht said. “From warehouse to worksite, the Packer Fastener team is here to keep Salt Lake City projects stocked, organized and on schedule.”
The opening comes less than two months after Packer officially launched a nearly 40,000-square-foot distribution center in Lebanon, IN, serving the Indianapolis metropolitan area. That facility was the company’s 12th location overall and similarly focused on supplying commercial construction, manufacturing, data center and energy projects.
Packer’s broader expansion streak began in September 2024. Before adding Indianapolis and Salt Lake City, the company opened distribution centers serving Kansas City; Columbus, OH; and Atlanta, along with new branches in Mississippi and Iowa.

Most of those operations remain concentrated in the Midwest and eastern U.S., making Salt Lake City a significant geographic extension of Packer’s physical network.
Besides fasteners, Packer supplies anchors, suspension and hanging systems, abrasives, safety PPE, fittings, welding supplies and other industrial products. Its value-added services include jobsite support, eCommerce solutions, kitting, vendor-managed inventory and vending programs.
The company’s sister organization, Packer Freight, is a full-service third-party logistics provider.
