A little over 2 years ago, I had Jeff Crane, the CEO of LGG Industrial on the podcast to talk about his company’s recent changes. At the time, that company was known as ERIKS North America — a well-known distributor of fluid handling, material conveyance and sealing products and solutions.Â
The company has undergone further transformation since, including its early 2024 rebrand as LGG Industrial.
Crane and I were able to have a great chat at the 2025 NAHAD convention in April, and given what LGG has been up to lately, I was compelled to invite him back onto the podcast.Â
Here’s what we covered:
- We know that rebranding a company is a major endeavor, especially for one that is 90 years old like LGG. So, I was curious to have Crane detail what went into that rebranding effort and the why behind it.Â
- With tariffs holding as the biggest topic of conversation in distribution circles, we discussed how LGG is navigating the situation and how it’s impacting the greater hose and rubber products sector.
- In 2024, LGG announced that it had invested in a slew of enhancements across its branch network, adding numerous capabilities to many of them. Crane detailed what the payoff has been on that front.
- Most of the industry now engaged with AI applications, but every distributor’s approach to the technology tends to look different. I had Crane share what LGG’s AI involvement has been so far, and what it’s looking to do with it going forward.
