Specialty packaging distributor Veritiv announced the acquisition of Packaging Solutions, which supplies custom packaging products and services throughout Southern California. This is the third deal in six weeks for the Atlanta-based company. It announced the purchase of S. Walter Packaging Corp. on Sept. 2 and Subotnick Packaging on Sept. 17.
“This acquisition is another investment in building on our industry-leading specialty packaging distribution capabilities by strengthening our reach and ability to serve customers in Southern California,” Veritiv CEO Sal Abbate said in an Oct. 14 news release. “Packaging Solutions brings to Veritiv a well-established customer base in the region and represents our continued efforts to expand our national platform to better serve customers by combining the strength and scale of Veritiv with the entrepreneurial spirit of smaller, well-run family businesses.”
Veritiv was No. 4 on MDM’s 2025 Top JanSan, Packaging & Disposables Distributors List.
“Our team has a more than 20-year history of serving businesses throughout Southern California by delivering end-to-end packaging solutions to meet their design, production and logistics needs,” said John Tree, Owner and CEO of Packaging Solutions. “Joining Veritiv enables us to leverage the company’s established commercial infrastructure, packaging procurement and distribution expertise, and enhanced design and testing capabilities to better serve our customers. We are equally excited for the future opportunities for growth this provides our employees and look forward to building on our current successes and enhancing both the employee and customer experience as part of the Veritiv team.”
