Atlanta-based Veritiv Operating Company, a provider of specialty packaging distribution, facility solutions and print products and solutions, acquired Subotnick Packaging, an Oregon-based distributor of packaging products and equipment serving the building materials, food, eCommerce and transportation industries.

“This acquisition strengthens Veritiv’s core packaging platform in the strategically important Pacific Northwest region,” Veritiv CEO Sal Abbate said. “Subotnick’s offerings are highly complementary to our existing capabilities and support our strategy to grow our core packaging platform.”

Founded in 1925, Subotnick offers both stock and custom packaging products and equipment, focusing on corrugated, strapping, tape and stretch film, as well as parts and service.

“Joining Veritiv represents an exciting milestone for Subotnick, allowing us to extend our impact through Veritiv’s vast network in packaging distribution, automation, design, and fulfillment,” said David Berlant, President of Subotnick Packaging.

This is Veritiv’s fifth acquisition under the leadership of Sal Abbate. The company’s most recent acquisition was of NY-based Arjay Company in December 2024.
