Personal protective equipment and apparel manufacturer National Safety Apparel — a portfolio company of Blue Point Capital Partners — acquired Bashlin Industries.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Grove City, PA, Bashlin manufactures climbing gear, fall protection equipment and accessories tailored for power utility and telecommunications linemen, as well as industrial professionals. Founded in 1926 by W.M. Bashlin, the family-owned company serves customers throughout North America and around the world.

Founded in 1953, NSA is a manufacturer of flame-resistant apparel, electrical PPE, high-heat and industrial protective gear and uniforms. Its portfolio of brands — including DRIFIRE, Enespro, Wild Things and others — feature products with patented technologies. Based in Cleveland, OH, NSA owns and operates eight manufacturing facilities across the U.S., employing around 1,000 people nationwide.
“NSA’s long-standing relationship with the Bashlin and Schell families goes back to our acquisition of Kunz Glove in 2020,” NSA CEO Chuck Grossman said in a July 23 news release. “Welcoming Bashlin to the NSA family of brands reinforces our commitment to the safety industry and widens our manufacturing capabilities, setting the stage for continued innovation and growth.”

NSA said the acquisition expands its product portfolio to include climbing belts, straps and related gear for utility and linemen applications. It also provides access to Bashlin’s existing distributor network and customer base, creating potential for cross-selling.
