Building Material Distributors, Inc. (BMD) launched engineered wood products (EWP) distribution operations in Southern California.

BMD said the expansion will offer solutions to lumber yards that support both single-family and multi-family builders and framers throughout the region.

The Riverside EWP yard will stock a range of products, including PWT I-joists, LVL and treated LVL, QB Corp. stock and custom glulam beams and Tolko LSL. EWP materials will be delivered to dealers using BMD’s fleet of company-owned trucks, alongside its complete line of building products. To support increased delivery frequency across the region, BMD said it is expanding its fleet by adding more trucks and drivers.

California-based BMD is an employee-owned company with over 80 years of experience delivering building materials and solutions. The company collaborates with industry brands to provide products in millwork, engineered wood, general building materials and home improvement.

“This new location is a significant step in BMD’s commitment to delivering high-performance engineered wood products to the building community,” BMD Senior Vice President of Distribution Matt Blair said in a June 19 news release. “With access to trusted brands like Pacific Woodtech, Tolko and QB Corp, we are equipping lumber yards and their customers with the products and solutions needed to execute projects of any scale with precision and efficiency.”
