In its first acquisition since late February, building materials distributor SRS Distribution — a subsidiary of The Home Depot — acquired Roadrunner Roofing Supply.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Established in 2020, Roadrunner is a building materials distributor formerly owned and operated by Rick McLaughlin. The Arlington, TX-based company employs 21 staff members. McLaughlin and the company’s current management team will remain in place to continue operating the business and maintain existing relationships with customers, suppliers and employees.
“In just five years of business, Roadrunner has become a highly respected player in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, known for best-in-class customer service and exceptional product expertise,” SRS President and CEO Dan Tinker said in a, Aug. 1 news release. “We look forward to building upon Roadrunner’s excellent reputation and continuing to serve our valued stakeholders together.”

SRS’s most recent previous acquisition was of Des Moines, IA-based Rising Star Wholesale, announced on Feb. 26.
The Home Depot acquired SRS in June 2024 for $18 billion, marking Home Depot’s largest acquisition to date.
SRS Distribution was ranked No. 3 on MDM’s 2025 Top Distributors List for Building Materials/Construction.
