Columbus, OH-based building and consumer products manufacturer Worthington Enterprises acquired Elgen Manufacturing for approximately $93 million.

Based in Closter, NJ, Elgen designs and manufactures HVAC parts, components, ductwork and structural framing used in commercial buildings across North America. Its steel-based products are used by contractors for the renovation, repair and construction of HVAC systems. Elgen sells directly to contractors and through distributor partnerships to access niche markets. Its distribution model supports lead times for non-standard products often required on tight installation schedules.

Elgen reported net sales of $114.9 million and EBITDA of $13.3 million for the trailing 12 months ended April 30.

Elgen will be integrated into Worthington Enterprises’ Building Products segment, which includes systems and components used in heating, cooling, construction, water applications, architectural ceilings and metal framing.
