Jacksonville, FL-based electrical distributor World Electric — a Sonepar Company — announced plans to open a regional distribution center in Atlanta, GA, and the appointment of a new vice president of sales.
World Electric said the 150,000-square-foot facility, along with a new RDC in Hialeah Gardens, FL, and over 20 branches, will allow the company to offer faster deliveries, specialized services and a wider range of products for markets like solar, EV charging and the Department of Transportation.

The Atlanta RDC will offer value-added services such as colored and parallel wire cutting, fixture and material carts, Pro Logistic Services for project staging and storage and onsite staff to manage jobsite materials. The facility is expected to open later in 2025.

Additionally, World Electric has named Brandon Cox as VP of Sales, a newly established role aimed at expanding the company’s customer base and growing its market presence.
With 25 years of experience at World Electric, Cox began his career in the warehouse and has since held roles in outside sales, branch management and regional sales management, most recently overseeing the central and western Florida regions.
