Raleigh, NC-based gases and welding supplies manufacturer and distributor American Welding & Gas acquired Grant Hagberg Co, effective May 14.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Operating from a single location in Griffith, IN, Grant Hagberg is a supplier of dry ice, carbon dioxide, hydrotesting and fire extinguisher recharging. The company has serviced Chicagoland, the south suburbs and Northwest Indiana since 1948.

According to a May 15 release, Grant Hagberg’s Indiana location enhances AWG’s Midwest footprint and supports the continued growth of its gas and welding supply network throughout the region.
