Heavy machinery and industrial parts distributor Wajax appointed Michael Hachey as Chief Operating Officer, effective June 2.
Hachey now leads the company’s operations, focusing on driving operational excellence and strengthening organizational capabilities. He will report directly to President and CEO Iggy Domagalski.

Hachey is an experienced executive with extensive leadership experience across industries, including industrial services, food service, automotive and retail. He most recently was COO of Food Service and Hospitality at Compass Group Canada, following roles as Chief Innovation Officer and President of Eurest Support Services. From 2006 to 2014, he advanced through senior operations roles at Mr. Lube, including EVP. He began his career in audit at Ernst & Young before moving into finance at Bell Canada and Labatt Breweries.

“He brings with him an excellent track record of driving operational excellence across multiple industries, and we are confident he will contribute significantly to Wajax’s continued success,” Domagalski said in a June 2 news release.
