Relevant Industrial Acquires Lindberg Process Equipment

The addition of industrial heading and combustion system provider Lindberg Process Equipment strengthens Relevant's presence in the Midwest.

Relevant Industrial, a provider of industrial equipment and engineered solutions, acquired Lindberg Process Equipment, a provider of industrial heating and combustion systems.

The acquisition strengthens Relevant’s geographic presence in the Midwest and expands its ability to support customers with local inventory and sales expertise, company officials said in a Sept. 2 news release.

Lindberg’s operations will combine with Relevant’s location in New Brighton, MN, adding an established thermal solutions partner in a key industrial region. The company expects the move to provide faster response times, improved product availability and more tailored support to industrial customers across the Midwest.

“This acquisition reinforces our commitment to being close to our customers and equipping them with the products and solutions they need to keep their operations running efficiently,” said John Carte, CEO of Houston-based Relevant Industrial. “By expanding our thermal solutions capabilities in a key geography, we’re better positioned to deliver timely, practical support to our customers.”

According to the news release, the acquisition broadens Relevant’s ability to serve customers across the United States, particularly in the Midwest, South and Southeast regions, while continuing to build on its strategy of evolving from a product distributor into a solutions-focused partner.

The news comes a little more than three months after it was announced that Relevant was sold from LKCM Headwater Investments to fellow private equity firm Fusion Capital Partners.  This is the third acquisition for Relevant since late last year. The company purchased Controlled Fluids, a provider of industrial fluid power, lubrication systems and motion control solutions with facilities in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana on Feb. 11 and Indianapolis, IN-based Loy Instrument, in December 2024.
