Relevant Industrial Acquires CHEMFLOW Products

CHEMFLOW is a distributor and manufacturers' representative specializing in precision-engineered flow control products for chemical services.

Relevant Industrial — a distributor and service provider for instrumentation and automation, rotating equipment, valve, purification and thermal equipment — acquired CHEMFLOW Products and its subsidiaries, CHEMSeal Couplings and, collectively known as CHEMFLOW.

CHEMFLOW is a distributor and manufacturers’ representative specializing in precision-engineered flow control products for chemical services. Its product portfolio includes valves, automation, breakaway couplings, safety shutdown systems and hoses. Its specially designed solutions help customers meet stringent industry standards for hazardous chemical bulk transfer.

“CHEMFLOW’s extensive experience and proficiency in flow control products for hazardous chemicals complement our capabilities,” Relevant Industrial CEO John Carte said in a Jan. 9 news release. “We are confident that this acquisition will both benefit our customers and contribute to the continued growth and success of Relevant Industrial.”

Terms weren’t disclosed for the transaction, which includes the transition of CHEMFLOW CEO Mike Johnson to the role of Vice President of Chlor-alkali Business Development within the CHEMFLOW/Relevant team.

With over 450 employees, Relevant Industrial now operates from a total of 30 strategic locations in the U.S. The company’s subsidiaries and brands include Rawson & Industrial Controls; J&W Instruments; Switch Filtration; Precision Fitting & Gauge; Mid-South Sales; and Marshall W. Nelson & Associates.
