Electrical, datacom and security supplies distributor Wesco International announced June 18 that Jared Hoover has been promoted to Vice President of Construction Solutions.
Pittsburgh-based Wesco — No. 1 on MDM’s 2026 Top Electrical Distributors List with $23.5 billion in 2025 revenue — said the move aligns with its strategy to extend its scale and help customers navigate ongoing challenges tied to complex capital projects.
Hoover most recently served as Senior Director of Sales. He previously was Director of Construction Lighting and Wesco Energy Solutions. In those roles, Hoover has been responsible for advancing sales strategy, strengthening customer and vendor partnerships and improving operational discipline across the business, Wesco said. His responsibilities have included oversight across sales, marketing, budgeting, expense control, client communications, vendor relations, process management, industry research and ROI initiatives.
Wesco said Hoover has also supported multiple customer segments, including construction, industrial, global and national accounts.

The leadership move follows a pair of recent Wesco announcements tied to its broader services and solutions strategy. On June 9, Wesco announced that has agreed to acquire Newark Engineering Group — a Singapore-based provider of engineered cooling solutions and lifecycle services for data centers. Wesco said it will acquire 100% of Newark for 175 million Singapore dollars, or about $136 million, on a cash-free, debt-free basis. The deal is expected to close in 3Q26.
Newark specializes in the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of advanced thermal management systems for mission-critical data center environments. The company is headquartered in Singapore with offices in Malaysia and Indonesia, and generated about $60 million in 2025 revenue.
A day earlier, Wesco launched its Pro A/V Services suite for professional audiovisual integrators. The offering combines consultative expertise, technology services, managed services and Wesco’s global supply chain capabilities to support the full A/V system lifecycle — from design and deployment through monitoring, optimization and ongoing support.
Wesco said the Pro A/V suite is intended to help integrators improve productivity, expand project capabilities and support more consistent customer outcomes.
