Newly-launched distributor Vector Building Products has expanded its Division 10 specialty building products platform with the acquisition of Prestige Distribution.
Announced Aug. 4, the deal adds Northbrook, IL-based Prestige, which also has operations in Dallas. Founded in 2004, Prestige provides Division 10 and commercial specialty products alongside design, distribution, project management and installation services for customers across the U.S.
The acquisition expands Vector’s geographic footprint and product offering as the company builds out a national network of Division 10 distributors. Prestige Co-Owner Adi Klinghofer will join Vector as Chief Operating Officer as part of the transaction.
“Prestige expands our presence in key markets, broadens our capabilities, and adds an outstanding team to our platform,” Vector CEO John Krawczyk said in the announcement.
Vector is a relatively new entrant to the building products distribution market. Private investment firm Centre Lane Partners established the platform in 2025 and formally launched it in January 2026 with its inaugural partnership, Texas-based Spectrum Resource.
Spectrum is a Division 10 distributor and contractor with locations in the Dallas and Houston markets. At Vector’s January launch, the company also appointed Krawczyk as CEO. He brought more than three decades of building products distribution experience, including previous leadership roles at Bridgewell Building Materials, Professional Builders Supply and Cook & Boardman.
Division 10 encompasses non-structural specialty products used to finish commercial buildings, including bathroom partitions and restroom accessories, lockers, fire extinguishers, signage, bike racks and whiteboards.
Vector said its strategy is to partner with Division 10 distributors across North America while providing capital and operational support and preserving the local relationships and service models of its partner companies.
