Valparaiso, IN-based construction tools, equipment and electrical supplies distributor PHP Distribution promoted Marc Smith to President, and unveiled a new logo.

Founded in 1981, PHP Distribution caters to the rental, construction supply and event/party rental sectors. The company operates out of a 50,000-square-foot warehouse in the central U.S. PHP offers a wide selection of heaters, tools, equipment and supplies from renowned brands such as HeatStar, L.B. White, Master, Universal, Space Ray and others.

Smith has been with PHP since 1999 and takes on this new role after holding various positions within the company over the past 26 years. The company said his extensive knowledge of its products, operations and customer base makes him the ideal candidate to lead PHP’s next phase of growth. Most recently, Smith served as VP, managing key areas such as vendor relationships, inventory and customer service.

PHP added that it will be unveiling a refreshed logo this summer that reflects the company’s expanded product offerings and “commitment to customer success.” Since its founding nearly 45 years ago, the company said it has grown from its origins in portable heaters and parts to offer a more diverse array of products from a range of vendors.
