Atlanta-based HVACR distributor Heritage Distribution Holdings announced May 29 that it has signed an agreement to acquire AM Distributors — a Miami-based HVAC distributor serving contractors in the Greater Miami area. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2014, AM Distributors operates three branches across the Greater Miami market, according to Heritage. The acquisition expands Heritage’s Florida footprint and supports the company’s growth into adjacent territories. AM Distributors will continue operating under its existing brand in distribution and marketing, while its management team will remain in place to run the business.
AM Distributors provides residential and commercial heating and cooling supplies, including HVAC repair parts, air distribution fans and whole equipment units. The company’s website lists locations in Miami and Miramar, FL, along with a metal division offering custom ductwork.
“We’re thrilled to welcome AM Distributors to the Heritage Distribution family,” Heritage Distribution CEO Alex Averitt said in the announcement. “This acquisition reinforces our focus on continued growth and innovation within the HVAC space. It also reflects our commitment to expanding our reach and delivering even better service and solutions to more customers.”
Heritage Distribution Holdings is the U.S. platform for global HVACR wholesaler Beijer Ref. Heritage describes itself as a growing group of market-leading HVACR distribution companies, with divisions operating across multiple regional footprints. Its portfolio includes companies with 125 branch locations across 19 U.S. states between 11 branded companies that include AM Distributors.
