Canada-based HVACR distributor The Master Group announced June 22 that it has completed the acquisition of Distributor Corporation of New England, a Carrier distributor serving eastern New England.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Malden, MA-based DCNE serves contractors across Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The company operates eight locations and provides residential and commercial HVAC equipment, replacement parts and supplies, ductless solutions, support services and training classes.

The acquisition expands The Master Group’s U.S. footprint and strengthens its presence in the Northeast HVAC market. It marks Master’s first U.S. expansion since March 2023, when the company acquired Valley View, Ohio-based Refrigeration Sales Corporation. That deal followed Master’s initial entry into the U.S. market at the end of 2021 through its acquisition of Richmond, Virginia-based Value Added Distributors.

DCNE President and CEO Michele M. Kolligian said the acquisition is “an important milestone” for the company and added that customers will continue to receive the same professional partnerships, technical knowledge and service commitment they expect.

Michele and Nancy Kolligian will continue to manage the business through a transition period. The Master Group said DCNE customers will continue to be supported by the company’s existing team while gaining access to Master’s scale, resources and broader distribution capabilities.

The Master Group — No. 6 on MDM’s 2026 Top Distributors List for HVACR — said it now has more than 2,000 employees, close to 100 branches and nine distribution facilities across Canada and the U.S.
